Express date-flexibilities as +/-N, where N is the number of days before or after your expressed preferred date during which you can comfortably be ready to fly; or, -M+N, where M is the number of days BEFORE your expressed preferred date you can be ready to fly, and N is the number of days AFTER your expressed preferred date by which you MUST fly.

Examples (skip these if you think you understand the above): a flexibility of +/-2 days with a preferred date of May 21 would mean you could fly anytime between May 19 and May 23; -1+3 would mean you could fly anytime between May 20 and 24; -2 by itself would mean you can fly May 19-21; +10 by itself would mean you can fly May 19-28; and 0 by itself means no flexibility, you MUST fly on the EXACT date you specified (don't expect a very low Target Flight quote!).

Express geographic flexibilities as alternative points to your expressed preferred point, or as regions AROUND your expressed preferred point.

Examples: (1) preferred point Paris, with flexibility anywhere within 300 mi. of Paris; (2) preferred point London, alternatives Manchester, Birmingham; (3) preferred point London, alternatives Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris; (4) preferred point Rome, flexibility anywhere in Italy, Switzerland,or southern France; (5) preferred point Boston, alternative New York or Montreal; (6) preferred point Miami, flexibility anywhere in Florida; (7) preferred point El Paso, alternatives Albuquerque, Austin, Phoenix; (8) San Diego, alternatives any southern Calif. airport. "None" means you MUST have the exact city you are asking for (don't expect a very low Target Flight quote!) NOTE: Do not use the numbers of these examples in the form. Use plain English, or just place-names, to express what you want to express. The above are just examples, not encodings, and they do not exhaust the set of possible preferences you can express, which is probably infinite!
