AIRHITCH® PAYMENT POLICY

Because the transportation-providers who work with us by permitting us to hitch rides on their airplanes have operating expenses they have to cover, we offer them a relatively small amount of money to help "cover the gas" -- but, in keeping with the Airhitch® ethos, not until AFTER we have boarded their aircraft! (Part of the Airhitch® ethos is to hang onto, and help other Airhitchers hang onto, money, as much of it as we can, for as long as we can, while traveling.)

Another part of the Airhitch® ethos has to do with MAXIMIZING FREEDOM in travel. This means, leaving the individual Airhitcher as free as possible from commitment or constraint up until the absolute last necessary moment before deciding whether to accept a ride on an Airhitchable flight or not. Obviously, if you haven't paid out any money in order to board a flight, then you will feel a lot freer NOT to board it, should such a decision be indicated by the spot circumstances surrounding your departure.

Finally, all Airhitchers do their best to help all other Airhitchers MINIMIZE RISK while Airhitching. Obviously it's a lot harder to get money back once you've paid it out, than it is to hang on to it while you still have it! Thus, in keeping with that part of our ethos that has to do with minimizing risk, we encourage you to hang onto it as long as possible, because, although, all things considered, Airhitching in general is a pretty smooth process (given its premises), obviously there are certain unpredictables and things CAN go awry, right up until the time you board. And when and if they do: it's a lot better to have MORE money in your pocket, than less!
